Be Familiar with Culture of Maharashtra….
Culture of every state has equally importance in the growth and development the state. Maharashtra state has its own culture. To promote that culture and every one should be familiar with the culture. SKVSP has organised following cultural program:
(i) Gauri Decoration Competition: During the Ganesh Festival, one of the homegious event is celebrated in Maharashtra. As per mythological story of Lord Ganesha, Gauri is an avatar of Maa Parvati, mother of Lord Ganesha. However, in Maharashtra, it is also believed that Gauri is Ganesha’s sister who comes to visit him. Like her brother, the arrival of Maa Gauri in one’s home represents health, wealth, happiness & prosperity. In fact, Gauri स्थापना is done with two idols of Maa Gauri. Decoration for Gauri स्थापना is always fascinating. A competition for Gauri Decoration was organised for the families who made Gauri स्थापना. Prize distribution ceremony of this competition is done by Ms Pratiksha Lonkar, famous marathi actor. Participating families were felicitated by her with gift as token of love.
(ii) Parvati cleaning movement: Pune has many historical architectural places like forts and temples. It is surrounding by the many hills and forts.. Parvati hill is one of the hill having a historical temple at its top. Many tourist visits daily this place. Due to rush of peoples Parvati Mandir and surrounding place area become waste thrown by the people and it make dirty and polluted. The movement of cleanness of Parvati hill and temple has started by the the SKVSP and organised cleaning programe of Parvati temple and hill by participation of volunteer. Many volunteers have been actively participated in the movement and successfully.
(iii) 31st December – Awareness for to maintain the purity forts and castles: On the eve of new year on every 31st December whole world celebrates new year parties. Many people choose historical places as destination for celebration and makes this places very dirty, expect to know the importance of this places. It is avoidable by spread the awareness about the history, memories and sacrifices. Keeping this in mind, SKVSP has organised Awareness Campaign by erecting hoardings having some massage for awareness. displayed like every one can notice it at the beginning.
(iv) Felicitation of Senior Citizens: “Senior Citizen” means any person being a citizen of India, who has attained the age of sixty years or above. Age of sixty is the retirement age. Every one get retired after the completion of age of sixty. But these senior citizens are the source of information and experience. They are the guide for us. By facilitating them, we honor their experience and we get guidance from them. Keeping this purpose in mind, SKVSP has organise felicitation programme for senior citizen. Many senior citizens were felicitated by the Mrs. Nishigandha Wadkar, Marathi Cinema actor.
