Felicitation of Padmashree Sardar Kultar Singh

Let’s come….. touch again to that golden movement of history of Freedom Movement….

Martyr Sardar Bhagat Singh was a hero of the early 20th century independence movement of India.  He was a vocal critic of British ruler in India and was involved in two attacks on British officers (i) First on a local police chief and (iii) Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi. He was executed for his crimes in 1931 at the age of 23.

In 1931 Bhagat Singh was hanged for the murder of Officer J. P. Saunders in the city of Lahore. Saunders had been mistakenly killed as part of a plot to kill the Police Chief, who was responsible for the death of Lala Lajpat Rai, an influential Indian writer and politician.

An event of “Let’s come….. touch again to that golden movement of history….” was organised by the SKVSP.
