On the occasion of 66^th birthday of Hon. Shri. Sharad Pawar Saheb, Sharad Krida Va Sanskrutik Pratishthan, Pune and Maharashtra State Boxing have organised “State Championship Boxing Tournament” for senior group of boys and girls category. Matches for the competition were played on 6^th Dec 2006 in Pune & from 8^th to 12^th December 2006 in Mumbai. The above state championship competition is held in Pune after a long period of 15 years. Total 32 teams from different cities and district level sports organizations have been participated in the competition which are affiliated to Maharashtra State Boxing Association.
